Change to traffic allowances

Base traffic on Standard and Wide goes up at the same price, and overage now throttles instead of cutting off.

Starting this month, base traffic on two tiers goes up while the price stays where it is:

  • Standard: 8 TB → 10 TB per cycle
  • Wide: 12 TB → 15 TB per cycle

Running services pick up the new allowance at the start of their next billing cycle. No ticket needed.

We are also changing how overage is handled. Previously the network was suspended once you passed the allowance; now the port steps down to 100 Mbps and the service keeps working. To restore full rate immediately, buy a traffic package from the service detail page — the allowance applies the moment it is paid.

Allowances count both directions combined, and usage is visible live on the service detail page. The counter resets each cycle and unused traffic does not roll over. That differs from some providers, but we would rather set the base allowance high than run complicated carry-over rules.
