Every machine is a retail Mac mini with its own serial, its own storage and its own uplink port. Nothing is shared, sliced or emulated — if the spec sheet says 24 GB, all 24 GB are yours.

The uplink is not metered. What is metered is our relay, the convenience path that gives you SSH and screen sharing without configuring anything: 100 GB per cycle, then 5 Mbps until you add a pack or the cycle resets. Run your own tunnel — Tailscale, or anything that dials out from the machine — and none of that applies. Before you order
The questions that actually come up in tickets, answered plainly.
How long until the machine is ready?
Where stock is on the shelf, most orders are handed over the same working day. When a tier shows a waitlist, the plan centre states the current lead time before you pay, and we will not take an order we cannot fulfil within it.
What is the minimum commitment?
One cycle. Pay for a month and you owe nothing beyond that month. Services renew from your balance, and turning renewal off in the portal is enough to end the arrangement — no notice period, no cancellation call.
Do I get the admin account?
Yes. You receive an administrator account, which means sudo, Homebrew, kernel-adjacent tooling and your own automation. We keep a separate out-of-band path for power and reimaging only; we do not log into your session.
Can I sign in with my own Apple ID and install Xcode?
Yes, and most customers do. The machine is a normal Mac as far as Apple is concerned. You are responsible for staying within Apple's own terms for the accounts and licences you use on it.
What happens to my data when I stop renewing?
The machine is held for seven days after the term ends so you can retrieve anything you forgot. After that the volume is erased and the unit is reimaged before it goes to the next tenant. Ask for confirmation in a ticket and we will send it in writing.
How is traffic counted, and what if I exceed it?
Only what passes through our relay is counted: the ready-made path that gives you SSH and screen sharing on your own hostname with nothing to configure. 100 GB per cycle, both directions, visible in the portal as it accrues. Going over does not cut you off or generate a bill — that machine's relay drops to 5 Mbps, and a traffic pack restores full speed within a minute. Traffic over a tunnel you run yourself, or anything else leaving the machine directly, is not counted at all.
Can I change tier or region later?
Tier changes mean a different physical machine, so we treat them as a migration: we provision the new unit, give you an overlap window to move across, then close the old one and prorate the difference. Same process for changing region.
What happens if the hardware fails?
We replace the unit and restore your most recent portal-triggered image at no charge. We do not run continuous backups of your working data — that part is on you, and we would rather say so up front than bury it in a policy.
